SFMC welcomes its members to a Brand New Semester!!!

SFMC After a month long tiring exams followed by a short vacation, SFMC is proud to welcome all its members for an exciting new semester as fun-filled as the last one. Here is a glance of what awaits you this semester: The most awaited event of SFMC is the first event of even semester "SE Quiz" for the SE?s. This is a three tier tournament. Members get eliminated in the round 1 & 2. Finally in round 3, one team from each class competes to win over the other teams. Rests of the members turn up as audience and cheer their class mates. "Technical Paper Presentation" awaits all these. Being a technical society in a technical college, we bring to our members both SE?s and TE?s an opportunity to display their papers on technical stuff. Again, the best papers win and receive awards. For members with great writing abilities, we bring the "Article Writing" competition. The best articles are printed in our annual magazine "Shoonya" released at the time of our symposium. The fun filled event is the "Online Treasure Hunt" fondly called as OTH where in members compete to crack the various codes and anagrams online to reach the desired target as soon as possible. The member who reaches the earliest to the core of the treasure wins. We have various "Aptitude Tests" for the third year members to check their percentile before actually appearing for their competitive exams like GRE,CAT, GMAT, etc. The next event is "Notice the Unnoticed". This is a notice board based event. A list of questions will be put up on our notice board and members will be given a time period of say a day and they will have to submit the answers to us within that stipulated time period. Again for the TE member we have computational plus lined up, which is a workshop, wherein software like Matlab, Knoppix, etc shall be taught. The knowledge of these software is quite essential to make a mark in your resume.
